The story of this novel begins in 2014 when Pakistan has become a full-fledged democracy and getting reconciled with India. Yaseer Basheer, a Pakistani jihadi leader ties the knot of friendship with Agyaat, an Indian Naxalite commander. They together are plotting to let the hell loose upon India and the whole of Asia in turn. Their plan is to unleash Pralay, an Indian experimental intercontinental ballistic missile on the subcontinent. But unfortunately, the missile changes the course on its route and by mistake hits Pakistan and causes collateral damage. Pakistan hence wages a war against India.

Sami Ahmad Khan has won prestigious awards like 'Muse India Young Writer (Runner-Up) Award' at the Hyderabad Literary Festival 2013 and 'Excellence in Youth Fiction Writing' at Delhi World Book Fair 2013 for his debut book Red Jihad. He is an Indian author based in Delhi who did his Masters in English at Jawaharlal Nehru University and later went to University of Iowa, U.S.A. on a Fulbright Grant. He has published many of his short stories, plays and articles in magazines and academic journals. Sami has also got into film production, teaching and theatre along with the passion for writing. He is currently a Doctoral candidate at JNU primarily working on Science Fiction and Techno-culture studies.
